Policies / Modern Slavery Statement
We recognise that architecture and construction are ultimately shaped by people, labour and complex supply chains, and that ethical responsibility extends beyond the design process itself.
We believe good professional practice includes treating people fairly, responsibly and with respect. Oran Architecture opposes modern slavery, forced labour, human trafficking and exploitative working practices in all forms.
As an architectural practice operating within the wider construction industry, we recognise that risks associated with modern slavery can exist within supply chains, manufacturing, procurement and construction activities. While Oran Architecture is a small practice with a limited operational supply chain, we are committed to conducting business ethically and responsibly and to promoting fair and lawful working practices wherever reasonably possible.
We aim to work with clients, consultants, contractors and suppliers who share similar professional and ethical standards. Where appropriate, we seek to encourage responsible procurement, transparency and fair treatment throughout the delivery of projects.
Within our own practice, we are committed to:
• maintaining fair and respectful working conditions
• complying with UK employment legislation and professional obligations
• promoting equality, inclusion and professional wellbeing
• fostering a workplace culture built on dignity, respect and ethical conduct
• avoiding knowingly working with organisations involved in unlawful or exploitative labour practices
• reviewing our approach periodically as the practice develops
Oran Architecture is committed to maintaining awareness of modern slavery risks and supporting ethical professional practice across the built environment sector.
Oran Architecture reserves the right to review and update policies periodically.
